Will the Woodson Pool Open in 2022?

If we are going to open the pool summer,
we’ll need some volunteers to step up and join us.

As you all know, the Woodson Estates Pool is a fantastic amenity to have for our families in Woodson Estates and Timber Valley. The pool has been a wonderful summer gathering place for family and friends since it was built in the 70s. Many of you have volunteered to help with clean-ups and keep our pool open each year, keeping it a safe and happy area for all of us.

Two of our wonderful, hard-working volunteers who head up the pool committee need a break. Therefore, the Woodson pool committee is asking for help this season. We will need at least two people to learn the ins and outs of pool maintenance. Some responsibilities include making the pool ready to pass city inspection so it can remain open throughout the season. The city has many requirements for us to follow, and our current volunteers have invested so much time into the pool year after year.

One available position may require you to take a class for CPO certification, costs of which the Woodson Estates Pool will cover. We will need a team of people to help maintain the pool, as well as assist in other duties during the year, and join the Pool Committee. Please let me know if you would like to know more and are considering volunteering your time. I will take the emails and calls and pass your information to the committee.

We really need your help if our pool is going to open this season.  Please respond if you can help.

In April, we will need to do the following:

  • Cleaning & painting pool
  • Cleaning the grounds around the pool
  • Cleaning the concession stand, bathrooms
  • Sprucing up everything to get ready for opening

*If you feel like you would thrive in a project-management role for this, please indicate that in your response!*
